CINCINNATI (AP) The San Francisco Giants called up outfielder Mac Williamson from Triple-A Sacramento before the start of their three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night.

The Giants wanted an extra outfielder with Angel Pagan sidelined by a mildly strained left hamstring. San Francisco hopes to avoid putting Pagan on the disabled list. Second baseman Joe Panik was out of the lineup Monday with a sore groin.

Williamson went 0 for 3 in three games with the Giants this season. He batted .355 with four homers and 18 RBIs in 15 games with Sacramento.
