Forget Stanton: Skateboarding dog steals show at Dodger Stadium

Published May. 13, 2015 2:27 a.m. ET

The buzz across the baseball world on Tuesday was what happened outside of Dodger Stadium. Where Giancarlo Stanton’s home run ball landed.

But something else happened on the asphalt of Chavez Ravine that you don’t see every day -- a skateboarding bulldog. (You can catch his slick moves in the video above.)

OK, maybe you don’t see this every day, but for fans at Dodger Stadium, this isn’t exactly uncharted territory. The team has hosted several “Bark in the Park” promotional days (as have other MLB clubs), and in June fans will be able to bring their dogs to watch the Boys in Blue face the rival Giants on “Pups at the Park” day.

The dog in the video above, while not identified by the FS Florida broadcast team, is almost certainly Tillman the skateboarding dog. He is actually quite the Internet sensation.

He is no stranger to Dodger Stadium. The first video in the paragraph above was taken at Dodger Stadium in 2012. And here he is delivering the first pitch before a game back in 2011.

Apparently Tillman likes watching the Dodgers play the Marlins. The Fish were the Dodgers' opponents on Tuesday . . . and the opponents before this 2011 game, too.

On Tuesday, the only scheduled giveaway was a Clayton Kershaw bobblehead. Perhaps Tillman was just showing off in hopes of scoring an extra bobblehead.

Whatever the reason, the home team was happy to have him there. The Dodgers and their dog beat Miami's Marlins 11-1.
