Dodgers call up LHP Coulombe

MILWAUKEE (AP) The Los Angeles Dodgers called up left-handed reliever Daniel Coulombe from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday and transferred left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
Coulombe, who pitched in five games last season with the Dodgers, was 0-0 with a 1.74 ERA in eight appearances with Oklahoma City.
Coulombe takes the roster spot of veteran right-hander Scott Baker, who was designated for assignment Sunday.
Ryu has been on the disabled list since March 27 with a left shoulder impingement. He was 14-7 with a 3.38 ERA in 26 starts last year, but did not pitch in the regular season after Sept. 12 due to left shoulder irritation. He did make a solid start in the playoffs against St. Louis.
The Dodgers acquired right-hander Matt West from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash. West was pitching at Double-A New Hampshire and was assigned to Double-A Tulsa by the Dodgers.
