PHOENIX (AP) The Arizona Diamondbacks activated right-hander Rubby De La Rosa before Friday night's game against the San Francisco Giants, in time for him to be the starting pitcher.

De La Rosa had been on the 60-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation. He hasn't made a start since May 25, at Pittsburgh.

In a corresponding move, Arizona transferred infielder Nick Ahmed to the 60-day disabled list with a right hip impingement.
