Cubs name Schwarber Minor League Player of the Month

Chicago Cubs catching prospect Kyle Schwarber has been tearing it up in Double-A lately and on Wednesday, he was rewarded for his efforts.

The Cubs named Schward the Minor League Player of the Month, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

According to MLB.com, Schwarber is the No. 3 prospect in the Cubs system and he's been playing like it recently.

The 22-year old hit .297 with eight home runs and 17 RBIs in May.
