SAN DIEGO (AP) Padres starter Jarred Cosart left Wednesday night's game against the Boston Red Sox in the fourth inning after appearing to hurt his right leg.

Cosart landed awkwardly after leaping to catch an erratic throw while covering first base on Jackie Bradley Jr.'s grounder to first baseman Wil Myers.

Carlos Villanueva relieved Cosart with the game tied 2-2.
