Brewers minor leaguer gets 50-game drug suspension

NEW YORK (AP) A minor league third baseman in the Milwaukee Brewers' organization has been suspended for 50 games after testing positive for an amphetamine.

The commissioner's office issued the penalty Monday to 22-year-old Nick Delmonico.

Delmonico was playing for Class A Brevard County of the Florida State League. He was hitting .262 with four home runs and 15 RBIs.
