MILWAUKEE (AP) Atlanta Braves starter Joel De La Cruz left after being struck by a hard grounder in the fourth inning of a game against the Brewers on Wednesday night.

Orlando Arcia's comebacker nailed De La Cruz's right knee. The ball deflected to first baseman Freddie Freeman, who tagged Arcia for the final out of the inning. De La Cruz hobbled off the field under his own power.

Chase d'Arnaud pinch hit for De La Cruz in the fifth, and Chaz Roe replaced him on the mound.

There was no immediate word on the extent of De La Cruz's injury. He allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings.
