Brandon Finnegan thanks Royals, fans on Twitter

Following the blockbuster trade that sent Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto to the Kansas City Royals, Brandon Finnegan, a piece in the deal, took to Twitter to thank his former organization and its fans:

Finnegan was drafted in 2014 and made his Major League debut later that year as a September call up out of the bullpen. He excelled in that role in the regular season, pitching to a 1.29 ERA in seven appearances in September and a 10.50 ERA in seven postseason games.

He has appeared exclusively out of the bullpen in the bigs, but it's still possible he will start games with the Reds. In four starts for Triple-A Omaha, Finnegan owns a 3.86 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 9 1/3 innings pitched.
