Bartolo Colon strikes out three times after telling catcher he wouldn't swing all game

43-year-old Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon picked up his fourth win of the year and pitched seven solid innings in a 7-1 New York win Monday, but Colon's three at-bats during the game were far less entertaining than they usually are. Colon revealed after the game that he's been dealing with a slight back injury since he launched the first home run of his career earlier this month, so at the beginning of the game he told Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos that he didn't plan on swinging.
Via the AP:
Colon didn't swing at a single pitch all night and saw 14 total pitches from Gio Gonzalez and Blake Treinen, who missed the strike zone on a few occasions. The Mets built a 5-1 lead after three innings and Colon limited Washington to a single run all game, so his donated outs didn't really hurt New York.
Colon also allowed Ryan Zimmerman to take the easiest stolen base of his career in the sixth inning, but immediately responded with a strikeout to end the inning.
