Barry Bonds takes selfie next to sleeping Willie Mays

Barry Bonds is not the first person to sneak up on a family member and take a selfie with said family member while he or she is sleeping. But when that family member is one of the greatest baseball players to ever live, it’s somehow just a little bit funnier.

If you wanted to know what Willie Mays looks like when he’s fast asleep, you have your answer. Bonds snuck up on Mays on Monday while his 84-year-old godfather was sleeping.

“Yes he sleep. #SayHey Willie Mays and yes I sleep next to him,” Bonds wrote on Instagram. “I am so proud to have the best God Father in the world. I Love you and everything that you have done for me and my family Willie.”

Isn’t that sweet, albeit in a creepy kind of way?

Bonds has an extremely close relationship with Mays, which is why his praise of this MLB slugger was so newsworthy. Hopefully the “Say Hey Kid” doesn’t use Twitter or Instagram. If he does, he’s going to have to look at his own sleeping face everywhere he turns.
