HOUSTON (AP) Mike Fiers of the Houston Astros has not allowed a hit through eight innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fiers has thrown 120 pitches Friday night. He allowed a walk in each of the first three innings, but he hasn't allowed a runner past first. The right-hander retired 21 of the last 22, including the last 18.
Fiers has walked three and struck out six. He does not have a complete game in his career.
Josh Turner came close to breaking it up in the sixth inning, but his towering shot to left with two outs hooked foul.
