A's Canha discusses first MLB home run, 'Bull Durham' prank on 'Intentional Talk'

Mark Canha is having quite a first few weeks in the Major Leagues. The Oakland A's oufielder/DH clubbed his first career home run last Friday after very nearly hitting a grand slam for his first hit a few days earlier.
When asked about his hits after a game, the 26-year-old San Jose native quoted lines from the classic baseball movie "Bull Durham" in deadpan fashion, prompting one of the A's reporters to call him out for the homage.
All this attention netted Canha a guest spot on MLB Network's 'Intentional Talk,' which visited with him before the A's game on Wednesday night at Houston's Minute Maid Park.
Clad in an 'Oakland Strength' t-shirt, Canha talked about the emotions of hitting a big-league home run for the first time, the 'Bull Durham' moment, and more. Check it out:
After it was over, Canha hit Twitter to express his enthusiasm about the experience:
Had great time w/ @ChrisRose & @KMillar15 on @IntentionalTalk. Thx 4 lettin the rook on 2day fellas! Open 2 sharing fitness tips w/ Millar..

In eight games with the A's so far in 2015, Canha is hitting .324/.342/.486 with the one home run, seven RBIs and 12 hits in 37 ABs and has only struck out six times. While it's extremely unlikely he'll continue playing at this clip for the rest of the season, the A's have to be liking what they're seeing from him at this point.
