Angel goes over wall to rob homer

Angels fans are used to seeing leaping catches in the outfield by Mike Trout and Peter Bourjos, but J.B. Shuck may have topped them all.

Shuck fell into the stands while robbing Toronto's Jose Bautista of a homer in the fourth inning Friday night in Anaheim, holding on to the ball while tumbling head over heels over the short fence in left field.

Aw, shucks? More like Awe Shuck!

For the 26-year-old, in his first year with the Angels after playing 37 games as a rookie with Houston, it was his second huge highlight of the week. He hit his first career homer July 29 off Texas' Matt Garza, after 357 plate appearances.

Shuck thought he had his first on June 5 against the Cubs, slugging one and rounding the bases before the umpires reviewed it and called it a foul ball. The pitcher? Garza.

"Honestly, it's the last thing I ever worry about," the slap-hitting Shuck told MLB.com about hitting home runs. "It's not a part of my game. If I get one, I get one. If not, I won't lose sleep over it."

He may not hit 'em often, but he sure can rob 'em.
