A-Rod joins elite club with home run on his 40th birthday

In case you hadn't heard, Alex Rodriguez turned 40 today. To celebrate, the New York Yankees' slugger hit his 24th home run of the season.

Consequently, he joined some elite names who have homered both in their teenage years and in their 40's:

Not a bad list to be a part of in the slightest.

A-Rod is currently enjoying a huge bounceback season with the Yanks after sitting out the 2014 season while serving a drug suspension.
