Carmelo Anthony on departure from Knicks: 'Phil Jackson pushed me out'
Anthony Black - Does little in spot start WednesdayBlack finished with four points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 118-100 victory over the Knicks.
ImpactAfter falling out of the rotation as of late, Black was inserted into the starting lineup Wednesday with Jalen Suggs (groin), Markelle Fultz (rest) and Gary Harris (calf) all sidelined. Black wasn't able to do much with his extended minutes, however, as most of the offensive firepower came from Franz Wagner and All-Star Paolo Banchero. Black figures to return to a deep bench role once his Magic teammates return from injuries.

Caleb Houstan - Doesn't do much in start WednesdayHoustan ended with six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt) in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 118-100 victory over the Knicks.
ImpactHoustan was inserted into the starting lineup Wednesday with Markelle Fultz (rest), Jalen Suggs (groin) and Gary Harris (calf) all sidelined. Houstan's 25 minutes played were his most since Jan. 22 against the Cavaliers, but that didn't translate into more opportunities on the offensive end of the floor, though he was efficient with his shots. He figures to return to his bench role following the All-Star break.

Paolo Banchero - All-around effort vs. New YorkBanchero supplied 36 points (15-20 FG, 6-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 118-100 victory over New York.
ImpactBanchero showed why he was selected to his first All-Star game as he missed just five of his 20 shots in Wednesday's win. His six threes was his most of the year and he's shooting 36.5 percent from beyond the arc this season, up from 29.8 percent in 2022-23. Banchero will look to showcase his talents more at the All-Star game in Indiana on Sunday.

Precious Achiuwa - Notches double-double WednesdayAchiuwa closed Wednesday's 118-100 loss to the Magic with 23 points (8-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 14 rebounds and five assists over 43 minutes.
ImpactAchiuwa grabbed his fourth double-double with the Knicks in Wednesday's loss.. He got off to a slow start in New York after being traded by Toronto on Dec. 30, but he's seen a large uptick in playing time and usage due to injuries to All-Star Julius Randle (shoulder) and OG Anunoby (elbow). Achiuwa has started in his last nine games and has averaged 13.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over 40.4 minutes per game over that span.
FEBRUARY 15•ROTOWIRE
Jalen Brunson - Leads Knicks in scoring WednesdayBrunson notched 33 points (11-21 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 6-7 FT), one rebound, six assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 118-100 loss to the Magic.
ImpactBrunson continues to be the main focal point on the Knicks offense, especially in the absence of fellow All-Star Julius Randle (shoulder). The Knicks have lost four of their last five games, but the blame can't be placed on Brunson as the All-Star point guard has averaged 33.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steals on 49.7 percent shooting in February.

Alec Burks - Scores 13 in spot startBurks finished with 13 points (5-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 118-100 loss to the Magic.
ImpactBurks made his first start of the season Wednesday with both Donte DiVincenzo (hamstring) and Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) sidelined. After scoring 22 points on 50.0 percent shooting in his Knicks debut Feb. 10, Burks has shot 6-for-24 over his last two appearances, including Wednesday's loss. Should DiVincenzo and Bogdanovic return following the All-Star break, Burks figures to reprise his role as a scorer off the bench for the rest of the regular season.
