College football Week 6 highlights: Bama, Tennessee, Michigan, USC upset
Week 6 of the college football season brought us one of the most surprising Saturdays in recent memory.
In arguably the most stunning result of the season, No. 1 Alabama fell to Vanderbilt 40-35. It marked Vanderbilt's first-ever win over the No. 1 team in the nation.
Unranked teams continued to take down ranked teams later on in the day. Washington defeated No. 10 Michigan in a national championship rematch. Minnesota picked up a dramatic win over No. 11 USC.
The upsets didn't end there. In one of the last games of the day, Arkansas pulled off a comeback win over No. 4 Tennessee, scoring the game-winning touchdown with just over a minute left to win 19-14.
No. 16 Iowa State wasn't a part of the ranked teams getting upset on Saturday evening. It beat Baylor 43-21 to remain undefeated.
Earlier, No. 25 Texas A&M handed No. 9 Missouri its first loss of the season, crushing the Tigers by double digits at home, while No. 3 Ohio State cruised to a win over Iowa. Nebraska also picked up a gritty win over Rutgers.
Elsewhere, No. 7 Penn State took down UCLA on FOX's "Big Noon Kickoff." Recap that game here.
