Ahmad Hardy - Surgery following shooting
Hardy was the victim of a shooting at a concert in Mississippi on Sunday and is in stable condition following surgery, David Ubben of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Unfortunately for Hardy, his offseason has gone from normal to far from pleasant, as the shooting has rendered him out indefinitely. Without a return timeline, there is at least a slight possibility that Missouri's team enters its summer workouts and fall camp without the running back, who transferred to Mizzou in 2025. Hardy more than acclimated to his new setting, somehow logging more than his 2024 tallies of 1,351 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns by recording 1,649 yards and 16 TDs respectively.

DaMarion Fowlkes - In competition for WR4
Fowlkes is set to compete for Missouri's WR4 role for 2026, Cody Goodwin of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
With the trio of Donovan Olugbode, Caleb Goodie and Cayden Lee lined up to be Missouri's primary trio of wideouts, the Tigers need a WR4, with Fowlkes and Shaun Terry the position's primary contenders. Last season saw Fowlkes log zero targets, with his lone stat a five-yard carry.

Shaun Terry II - Set to compete for WR4 role
Terry is set to compete for Missouri's WR4 role for 2026, Cody Goodwin of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact
Missouri's team needs a fourth wideout to work behind the primary trio of Donovan Olugbode, Caleb Goodie and Cayden Lee. It looks like Terry and Fowlkes are the Tigers' primary contenders for their WR4 position. In 2025, Terry caught his lone target for nine yards.

Kenric Lanier II - Set to carve out backup slot reps
Lanier is set to handle some snaps as a backup slot receiver for Missouri this fall, per the Columbia Daily Tribune.
Impact
It's a crowded slot position for Missouri, with DeMarion Fowlkes and Shaun Terry both also vying for slot reps. Still, Lanier should manage to get on the field this fall, and build on the three catches for 79 yards he logged last season at Minnesota.

Sam Horn - Not spotted at spring practice
Horn (leg) wasn't spotted at Missouri's spring practices, although the quarterback is still listed on the Tigers' 2026 roster, per 247Sports.
Impact
Horn was shut down for the 2025 season early on after he hurt his leg in Week 1 against Central Arkansas and proceeded to undergo surgery for a fractured tibia. The quarterback remains on Missouri's roster, but he wasn't a part of spring practices and doesn't look to be featured in this Tigers' offense in any way.

Brett Norfleet - Should be full-go by fall camp
Norfleet (shoulder) remains limited for Missouri but is expected to be full-g by fall camp, per the Columbia Daily Tribune.
Impact
Norfleet still isn't a full participant with the Tigers, but given that he's expected to heal by fall camp, this isn't an injury that should cause too much concern for fantasy managers. The tight end caught 31 passes for 254 yards and five touchdowns last fall.

Matt Zollers - Loses out on starting QB gig
Zollers has lost Missouri's quarterback competition to Austin Simmons, per Eli Hoff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Impact
Zollers was reportedly battling the Ole Miss transfer Simmons for the Tigers' starting quarterback gig, but he's lost out on the job at the conclusion of Missouri's spring practice period. He showed flashes last season as a true freshman, tossing for 503 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in limited action, but he'll have to wait a little longer to earn his first collegiate starting role. He's now likely slated to be Missouri's QB2.

Austin Simmons - Named Tigers' starting QB
Simmons has been named Missouri's starting quarterback, per Eli Hoff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Impact
Simmons was reportedly competing with returnee Matt Zollers for the starting quarterback gig, but he's wrapped up the competition at the conclusion of Missouri's spring practice period. The gunslinger was initially slated to be Ole Miss' starting quarterback in 2025, but he lost his job to Trinidad Chambliss after sustaining an ankle injury. He put up 744 passing yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions last season on 60 percent completion, with 71 rushing yards and a score on the ground as well.
