Impact Brown served as the Hawkeyes' backup QB behind Mark Gronowski in 2025, and he's in contention to claim the starting role for 2026. Brown, entering his redshirt junior season, completed 11 of 21 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown and one interception in 2025.

Jeremy Hecklinski - Battling for QB1 gig in Iowa City Hecklinski is competing with Hank Brown for Iowa's starting quarterback gig, per Tyler Tachman of the Des Moines Register.

Impact Hecklinski transferred to Iowa ahead of the 2025 season after spending his freshman year at Wake Forest, where he didn't see the field. Last season with the Hawkeyes, he completed 2-of-2 passes for eight yards, and ran for a six-yard touchdown in mop-up duty against Wisconsin and Minnesota. He's reportedly in a quarterback competition with Brown, who was also a backup for the Hawkeyes last season after two years at Auburn.

Kamari Moulton - Nears 100 yards in bowl win Moulton compiled 14 carries for 95 yards and one touchdown and hauled in their only target for two yards during Wednesday's 34-27 victory against Vanderbilt.

Impact Moulton stayed hot in Iowa's ReliaQuest Bowl win over Vanderbilt, dominating the carries for the Hawkeyes and nearing 100 yards on the ground for the second straight game. Moulton had a career year in 2025 as Iowa's lead back, rushing for 878 yards and five scores on 5.2 yards per carry. Should he elect to return to Iowa City, he figures to once again be the top ball-carrier next fall.
