The 5-foot-11 signal caller completed less than 50 percent of his passes on the day and threw an interception while receiving less work than fellow quarterback Hank Brown, who avoided turnovers while finidng the end zone in his own right. While it looks like Brown may have earned the starting gig for now, Hecklinski could continue to see opportunities to prove himself, starting with a rivalry matchup against Iowa State on Saturday.
