Yaniv Perets - Returned to ECHLPerets was reassigned to ECHL Norfolk on Saturday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.
ImpactPerets saw his first NHL action Monday, as he came on in relief of Antti Raanta in the third period of a 5-2 loss to LA. Perets stopped the only shot he faced. Perets became redundant when the Hurricanes claimed Spencer Martin off waivers from Columbus on Friday.

Shayne Gostisbehere - On par with elite bluelinerGostisbehere delivered a power-play assist in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
ImpactGostisbehere has 24 assists and 31 points through 44 games, which mirrors the running totals set forth by Pittsburgh's stud blueliner Erik Karlsson. For the sake of comparison, Ghost likely remains the more cost-effective option between the two; after all, it's not often you see a blueliner cross 100 points like Karlsson did with the Sharks last year, when he had 25 goals and 76 assists, but fantasy managers shouldn't put a ton of stock in the recency bias. Gostisbehere is more than holding his own in his debut campaign for the Winged Wheel.

Klim Kostin - First goal since overcoming injuryKoston scored in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
ImpactKostin, a rugged fourth-line winger, missed 12 straight games with an upper-body injury before his return against the Panthers on Wednesday, a 3-2 overtime win. Working in his debut campaign with Detroit, Kostin has three goals to go along with an assist and 41 hits through 25 games. The 24-year-old doesn't see the ice nearly enough to warrant a look in fantasy hockey; occasionally, he'll be relegated to the press box as a healthy scratch.

Dylan Larkin - Powers up with appleLarkin managed a power-play assist in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
ImpactThere's no doubt that Larkin cares more about the pursuit of winning hockey games than a personal point streak, and the Wings fell short in this one, but fantasy managers counting on Detroit's captain must be thrilled that he's put up a goal or an assist in seven consecutive tilts. Larkin has motored his way toward five goals and four assists in that span, plus he's two man-advantage points away from 20 for the second time in his career.

J.T. Compher - Back in scoring columnCompher potted a power-play goal in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
ImpactBoth teams had just one power-play chance in the contest, with Compher doing his part for the Wings courtesy of a snapshot in the middle frame. Compher was held without a point for six consecutive games prior to his goal against the Hurricanes, but the second-line pivot is up 10 goals and 15 assists through 40 games. which is the exact pace that resulted in him earning a career-high 52 points with the Avalanche last season.

Andrei Svechnikov - Scores on power playSvechnikov had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Detroit on Friday.
ImpactNear the end of the game, Svechnikov had a lucky bounce that landed right on his stick and he deposited it past Alex Lyon on the power play. He also added a helper on the empty-net goal, three hits, three shots on goal and a plus-1 rating in 16:40 TOI. In his past 11 games, Svechnikov has not only put up 16 points, but his physicality has been on display with his 28 hits and eight PIM. The Hurricanes are back on the ice this Sunday vs. the Wild.
