ImpactMurphy looks set to return to the lineup for the first time since Jan. 13 against Dallas, a stretch of 35 games on injured reserve. The defenseman will likely slot into Nikita Zaitsev's spot on the blue line, though that may depend on whether the Hawks decide to give Ethan Del Mastro his NHL debut.

Torey Krug - Questionable for FridayKrug is dealing with an upper-body injury and is questionable heading into Friday's clash with Carolina, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
ImpactIf Krug doesn't get into the lineup Friday, there is a chance the team will opt to shut him down for the rest of the campaign if the Blues are eliminated from playoff contention. In his last six outings, the defenseman has been producing offensively with one goal and four assists, including two power-play points. If Krug were to miss time, Scott Perunovich could get a look with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Jake Neighbours - Won't play against CanesNeighbours (upper body) will not be in action versus Carolina on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
ImpactNeighbours was coming into his stride prior to getting hurt, garnering seven goals and three assists in his last 12 contests, including a trio of power-play points. Overall, it's been a solid second season for the 21-year-old winger, having set new personal bests in games (77), goals (27), assists (11) and power-play points (14). Alexei Toropchenko figures to see an uptick in ice time with Neighbours out of the lineup.

Nick Foligno - Back with teamFoligno (personal) returned to practice Thursday and should be available against the Predators on Friday, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
ImpactFoligno didn't play Wednesday while attending to a personal matter but was back on the ice ahead of Friday's matchup. While the team's success has been lacking, the 36-year-old winger got back over the 30-point threshold this season for the first time since 2019-20 when he was with Columbus.
