2025 Super Bowl LIX odds: Jets see odds shift after schedule release

Updated May. 28, 2024 12:49 p.m. ET

Immediately following the Kansas City Chiefs' thrilling overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, both teams opened atop the betting board as the favorites to win it all next season.

And three months after the big game, they remain the favorites.

The free agency period and NFL Draft moved the odds for a few teams. Then, the schedule reveal shifted the odds for squads even more

One team with odds on the move after the schedule release is the New York Jets, whose Super Bowl futures shifted to +2400 from +2700.

Are the Jets must-watch TV?

One surprise from the May schedule release was the unveiling of Gang Green's calendar, which has six primetime matchups in the first 11 weeks of the 2024-25 NFL season.

When Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was asked on Sirius XM Sports Radio about the primetime slate, he said, "We are must-watch TV. That's pretty obvious. Everybody knows that. Whether you love me or hate me, people wanna see me play."

A franchise that wasn't rewarded as many nighttime contests as NYJ, but whose odds moved slightly after the schedule release, is Arizona.

The Cardinals' title futures shortened to +8000 from +10000 over the past two weeks.

In April's draft, the Cards selected wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 pick. Harrison, who recently inked his rookie deal, is expected to bolster Arizona's offense next season.

Atlanta is another team to watch. The Falcons' odds stayed put after the schedule release. However, after Day 1 of the NFL Draft, the team's Super Bowl futures moved to +2400 from +3000.

The Falcons added to their quarterback room, selecting Michael Penix Jr. with the No. 8 pick, just weeks after they signed four-time Pro Bowler Kirk Cousins.

Super Bowl LIX will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Feb. 9, 2025, and will be broadcast on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
