Report: Rockets' Harden, Ariza visit Lakers' Randle in hospital
The Houston Rockets' 108-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night at the Staples Center ended on a somber note as promising rookie Julius Randle broke his tibia.
But in an unexpected move, Rockets players James Harden and Trevor Ariza reportedly stopped by the hospital to visit the injured 19-year-old, according to TMZ Sports.
Randle reportedly was touched by the visit from the Rockets duo and was in good spirits overall, despite the fact that he'll have to sit out his first year in the league.
Randle, who played for the Kentucky Wildcats in college, was the Lakers' top pick and was the seventh overall selection in June's draft.
Wednesday, Randle underwent surgery to repair the fracture and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
