EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) Robert Griffin III is getting another chance to quarterback the Washington Redskins.

Griffin took the field late in the first quarter of the game against the New York Giants after starter Colt McCoy went to the locker room after aggravating a neck injury.

McCoy was questionable coming into the game after being hurt last week in a 24-0 loss to the Rams. Griffin finished up that loss.

McCoy took a couple of hits on the Redskins' opening drive. His last pass landed about 5 yards short of his intended target.

Griffin has not started for Washington since a 17-13 loss to the 49ers on Nov. 23.
