Jaguars RB Jones-Drew doubtful vs. Bills with hamstring strain
The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be without starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew and strong safety Johnathan Cyprien on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
Both players were listed as doubtful Friday, Jones-Drew with a strained hamstring and Cyprien with a thigh injury. Cyprien, a rookie from Florida International, has been in on every defensive snap this season.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley held out a slight hope that one or both players might be ready Sunday.
''It doesn't look real good for either one of them right now, but we still have some time so we're going to use that time in case on Sunday morning we can work them out,'' Bradley said.
Wide receiver Cecil Shorts III also could missing game. The team's receiving leader, he has been plagued with a groin injury much of the season. He practiced for the first time this week Friday, but on a limited basis. He was listed as questionable on the injury report.
Shorts confirmed after practice Friday that he would need surgery once the season was over.
