Dont'a Hightower to be recognized by hometown, referenced in 'Orange Is the New Black'
New England Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower has been in the spotlight ever since his time at the University of Alabama. The former first round pick has also been a key part of the Pats defense since being drafted in 2012 and after making some key plays during the Patriots Super Bowl run, he is being recognized by the masses.
On July 4th, Hightower will be recognized by his hometown of Lewisburg, Tenn. as he will have his own street called Dont'a Hightower Parkway. However, that isn't it, as his popularity is high enough to be referenced in a popular Netflix television series. Specifically, he was referenced in the latest season of the Netflix comedy "Orange Is the New Black."
Hightower will look to continue to make his presence felt on the Patriots defense and help the Patriots repeat as Super Bowl champions. First, he will need to get healthy as he recovers from a torn labrum.
