Daily look at Manning in Broncos training camp

A look at Peyton Manning's day at Denver Broncos training camp:

PEYTON'S PLACE: In their last public practice of training camp, the Broncos gave their fans plenty to cheer about on both sides of the ball. Manning won some battles, the defense won some. That's to be expected at this stage, and it's important for the Broncos to show progress everywhere, not just under center.

HOW'D HE DO?: Manning saw a few passes end up on the ground, but he had another nice day of work, hitting Demaryius Thomas one time with a perfect high pass while the pocket was collapsing. Ever the perfectionist, he yelled at his teammates for not hustling fast enough during a no-huddle drill and he even retreated to an adjacent field with Brandon Stokley, where the two worked on their timing after all those years together in Indianapolis.

TALKING MANNING: ''So, the analysis of practices will continue and I'll look forward to that,'' - Manning said facetiously upon realizing that reporters will still be allowed at practice to chronicle every step of his comeback for the remainder of the preseason, even though the Broncos break camp Friday.
