Broncos fine cornerback Cox following arrest

Published Dec. 12, 2010 9:09 p.m. ET

The Denver Broncos say they have fined cornerback Perrish Cox the maximum amount for missing meetings and practice after his arrest Thursday in an investigation into an alleged sexual assault.

The team didn't release the exact amount of the fine Sunday.

Cox was active for the game Sunday against Arizona but wasn't starting.

Cox could also face discipline under the NFL's personal conduct policy. He is free on $50,000 bail.
