Report: Jazz to reach out to John Stockton about coaching void

Will John Stockton be assisting the Jazz once again?
Utah is planning to reach out to the Hall of Fame guard to determine his interest in filling its head coaching void, ESPN reports.
The Jazz let go of Tyrone Corbin as coach last month after the team finished 25-57 -- last in the Western Conference. Stockton, who spent his entire 19-year career with the Jazz and finished as the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals, has no previous coaching experience.
Stockton helped the Jazz reach the playoffs every year of his career and reached the Finals twice -- losing both times to the Bulls. He retired without wining a championship.
Stockton's former teammate Jeff Hornacek had immediate success last season during his first year as Suns head coach, guiding the team to a 48-34 mark.
Utah is one of seven teams searching for a coach, but the Pistons reportedly have agreed to a five-year, $35 million deal with Stan Van Gundy.
