Utley turning it around at the plate after horrendous start

Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley is currently hitting .169 with a .250 on-base percentage, by no means laudable figures, but they are quite an improvement for a player who was hitting a point below the .100 mark with a .175 on-base percentage two weeks ago.
Since then, Utley has hit safely in 10 of the Phillies' last 12 games, injecting some pop into his bat after a miserable start to the season.
"I don't know if I'm necessarily sleeping better, but anytime you can get positive results, it can build your confidence," Utley said after the Phillies' 7-3 loss to the Rockies on Thursday.
Utley went 2-for-4 with a triple in Thursday's game, increasing his hitting streak to six games, which matches the number of games he hit safely in the entire month of April.
During his recent six-game streak, the veteran second baseman has hit 9-for-20 (.450) with four doubles, a triple, three runs batted in, and four walks.
Utley has also scored a run in each of his last five games.
Last but not least, he's no longer schlepping around the lowest batting average in MLB.
