Tulowitzki back in the lineup for Rockies after quad tightness

After missing the past two games, Troy Tulowitzki was back in the Rockies lineup on Monday. He went 1-for-4.

After Tulowitzki had been pulled from Friday night’s game in Los Angeles, some fans began speculating on Twitter that the star shortstop had been traded given the rumors following a New York Post story last week. It turned out that he was pulled due to tightness in his left quad.

Tulowitzki seemed acutely aware, given his injury history, that even a small injury might make fans panic. According to the Denver Post, he made a comparison with the way Chicago Bulls fans react whenever Derrick Rose goes down:

"I see myself in the same way. Anytime there is something, that's the one thing that's bad about being myself is, I don't get just a breather and everybody thinks I'm OK. It's a concern until I'm out there playing.”

Tulowitzki reassured everyone that the tightness was nothing to worry about.
