Tim Tebow reflects on his decision to comfort the fan who suffered a seizure

Tim Tebow was back on the field in the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday, but most of the attention was on what happened after Tuesday’s game. That’s when Tebow comforted a fan who suffered a seizure in the stands.

Tebow spoke about his decision to walk over and pray for the man, who was hospitalized and released later Tuesday. From MLB.com:

"I just wanted to be there and pray for him. I didn't know exactly what was going on, but I just wanted to be there to pray for him and lift him up and be there for him -- whatever I could possibly do.

"It's an unfortunate situation and a tragedy, but I think so many of those times can be learning opportunities for the people who get to see it. You also get to understand how to put it back into perspective -- that this is a game and it's fun, but it's still just a game. You remember what's important, people are what's important, and an opportunity to help someone is more important than anything I could have done on the baseball field yesterday. It's a reminder of why you do anything. …

"When a moment like that comes you have to be ready to help people and care about people.”

On the field Wednesday, Tebow went 0-for-3 with a walk and his first RBI. The 29-year-old is trying to make the transition from Heisman-winning QB to professional baseball player in the Mets’ organization.
