Stow making progress at rehab center

Published Oct. 14, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

The family of the San Francisco Giants fan who was severely beaten outside Dodger Stadium says he is making progress at a rehabilitation center, but still shows signs of confusion at times.

Bryan Stow was transferred from San Francisco General Hospital to an undisclosed long-term rehabilitation facility on Tuesday.

In a posting on their website the following day, the family said he knows the answers to some questions but still has moments of confusion, and answers personal questions incorrectly.

The 42-year-old Stow, a paramedic from Santa Cruz, suffered serious brain injuries in the March 31 attack following a game between the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Two men, 29-year-old Louie Sanchez and 30-year-old Marvin Norwood, have been charged in the attack. Both have pleaded not guilty.
