Rodgers actually penned a letter to Rockies fans. An excerpt reads:
The 18-year-old out of Lake Mary High School in Florida also says in the letter that he is going to work hard and do his best to help the team win. He echoed these sentiments in a video he previously created with Bleacher Report.

I'm excited about learning more about the Rockies organization. I know it's a great organization, with one of my closest friends, Forrest Wall, having been drafted by them last year. It'll be great to have him sort of by my side, showing me the ropes and giving me tips. Hopefully, I can catch up to him so we can be playing side by side like we were when we were 11 and 12 years old.
