Report: Yanks' Swisher growing mustache

Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher explained that his latest display of facial hair is all for a good cause -- much to the chagrin of his fiancee "Gossip Girl" actress Joanna Garcia, Us Weekly reported Monday.
"She (Garcia) was a little hesitant at first," said Swisher -- who is captain of the the Art of Shaving Movember Team that encourages men to grow a mustache in support of men's prostate cancer research.
"All my buddies are like, 'Swish, why are you growing that mustache?'" Swisher told the entertainment magazine about the comments from his teammates.
The baseball player's fiancee eventually warmed to the idea of his stubble though.
"Now that I've got her all clued in on what we're doing, she couldn't be happier for me," Swisher, 30, said. "She said as long as I don't have it when we get married, we're good to go."
Swisher was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 1st round of the 2002 amateur draft. He was traded to the Chicago White Sox and eventually to the New York Yankees where he hit .288 with 29 Home Runs and 89 RBI's last season.
