Report: Angels option Cron, recall Green from Triple-A

After their walk-off win on Monday night, the Los Angeles Angels made a roster move: they've optioned first baseman C.J. Cron to Triple-A Salt Lake.
MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports that the club will recall infielder Grant Green from Triple-A to take Cron's spot on Tuesday.
Cron, 25, hasn't had much success at the plate yet in 2015: in 102 plate appearances, he's slashed just 204/.225/.276 with one home run and six RBIs.
As a result of his struggles, Cron hasn't played very much this season...and it left him well aware of the possibility of being optioned. As he told Gonzalez: “I wasn’t playing much. Obviously when you’re not playing, you’re doing something wrong, and the opportunity is not there for you to just prove you belong. I knew in the recent stretch there was a chance [of getting optioned].”
Green will be coming up for his second tenure with the Halos this season, having appeared in three games (and getting six at-bats) earlier in the year.
