Reds SS Cozart out with sore knee, RH Homer Bailey idled

CINCINNATI (AP) Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart was out of the lineup Monday night against the San Francisco Giants because his surgically rebuilt right knee was sore.

Cozart had surgery last June to repair two torn ligaments and a tendon. Manager Bryan Price said Cozart has tendinitis in the knee, which will bother him at times all season.

Also, right-handers Homer Bailey and Anthony DeSclafani won't be allowed to throw for at least a few more days. Both suffered setbacks during minor league rehabilitation stints last week. Bailey had Tommy John surgery last May, and the Reds had hoped he could return sometime this month.

DeSclafani has been on the disabled list since the start of the season with an oblique injury.
