Fresh off his 400th career home run, St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols will appear, along with his manager Tony La Russa, at Glenn Beck's rally in Washington, D.C. Saturday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Friday.

Pujols, the three-time National League MVP, is set to be introduced by La Russa at the "Restoring Honor" rally, which will be held at the Lincoln Memorial on the 47th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.

La Russa said Thursday that when he was approached about the event, he made it clear that he and Pujols would only appear if it was a non-political rally.

Beck has billed the event as non-political, saying that it will celebrate the First Amendment and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is scheduled to address the crowd.

La Russa made headlines last month by voicing support for Arizona's controversial immigration law.
