Mr. Met fans on fist bump attempt with Nationals GM Mike Rizzo

Citi Field was rocking this weekend as the New York Mets swept the Washington Nationals, but the home team's mascot was unable to get one observer swept up in the festive atmosphere.

Following Sunday night's 5-2 victory, which pulled New York into a first-place tie with Washington atop the NL East, Mr. Met exchanged fist bumps and high-fives with fans and team personnel in a stadium hallway.

Mr. Met extended his hand to one man, who did not react and showed no interest in returning the fist bump, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reported. Turns out the man had a good reason - it was Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo.

Janes posted the exchange, or lack thereof, on Twitter. "To clarify, I don't think Mr. Met knew who Rizzo was," she tweeted.
