The Toronto Blue Jays have signed a two-year contract extension to keep their Triple-A club in Las Vegas.
The Blue Jays announced their deal with the 51s on Tuesday.
The franchise severed ties with Syracuse in 2009, leaving Las Vegas as its Triple-A affiliate, and tried unsuccessfully to find a minor league club closer to Toronto.
The Blue Jays now have all seven of their minor league clubs set. They moved their short-season Class-A club to Vancouver, British Columbia, last Friday.
