Indians option LHP David Huff to Columbus

Published Jun. 21, 2010 3:29 p.m. ET

The Cleveland Indians have optioned left-hander David Huff to Triple-A Columbus.

Huff dropped to 2-9 on Saturday in a loss at Pittsburgh and has won only once in his last 11 starts. In his last outing, Huff allowed five runs and six hits in five innings with six walks. Huff had a team-high 11 wins last season as a rookie.

The Indians said they will add another player before their game Tuesday in Philadelphia.

The most likely candidate to be brought up is Aaron Laffey, who began the season in Cleveland's bullpen.
