Gutter ball: Miss Texas throws laughably bad first pitch at Rangers game

Looks like 50 Cent's got company in the embarrasingly bad first pitch realm.

Miss Texas Monique Evans took to the mound during the Angels-Rangers game at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.

And while Evans sported her pageant crown and cut a unique acrobatic figure (a la gymnast McKayla Maroney a couple weeks earlier), the beauty pageant winner left a whole lot to be desired with this underwhelming underhanded gutter ball of a pitch, prompting the broadcaster to announce it "juuust a bit outside."

Evans defended herself on her Facebook page, saying that her headgear made her strike out with this limp noodle of a toss: "I can blame mine on the crown #beautyqueen #ballerinapitcher #betterthan50Cent#blameitonthecrown"

Heavy, indeed, is the head that wears the crown. Though congeniality points for affably laughing it off.
