The San Francisco Giants have activated closer Brian Wilson from the 15-day disabled list.
Wilson was placed on the disabled list Aug. 21, a move retroactive to five days earlier, because of a right elbow strain.
It was his second stint on the DL this year. He missed the beginning of the year with a left oblique strain.
Manager Bruce Bochy plans on returning Wilson to the closer role as early as Tuesday.

Wilson is 6-4 with a 3.19 ERA in 55 games this season. He has 35 saves in 40 chances.
