Diamondbacks place reliever Putz on 15-day DL

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-handed reliever J.J. Putz on the 15-day DL on Saturday with a dislocated right pinky finger and recalled right-hander Chaz Roe from Triple-A Reno.

Putz hurt his finger in Friday night's 4-3 defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies. Putz is 3-1 with a 2.43 ERA in 35 games this season. Roe, a rookie reliever, pitched in five games this season for the Diamondbacks and went 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA.
