De La Rosa's strong day lifts Rockies over Giants

DENVER (AP) Jorge De La Rosa had two hits, drove in two runs and pitched into the seventh inning to lead the Colorado Rockies over the San Francisco Giants 11-6 Thursday.
De La Rosa (1-1) allowed four runs - three earned - struck out seven and walked one in 6 2/3 innings. He was coming off a Saturday outing against San Diego in which he gave up seven runs in four innings.
Brandon Belt homered for the second straight game for the Giants.

La Rosa didn't give up a hit through the first three innings, and San Francisco starter Matt Cain retired 12 of his first 13 batters.
