Closes out SNF win Drake rushed four times for 26 yards and caught his lone target for one yard in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Bengals.
Impact Drake was back on the active roster following Justice Hill's (ankle) injury last week against Buffalo. The early-season acquisition leapfrogged fellow veteran Mike Davis to serve as J.K. Dobbins' (eight carries for 44 yards) primary backup. It was interesting to note that it was Drake, and not Dobbins, who was used as the primary back on Baltimore's game-winning drive in the final two minutes of action. Barring an undisclosed injury, this may have simply been a matchup play by the Ravens' coaching staff. Dobbins is still the preferred fantasy rushing option (not named Lamar Jackson) heading into next Sunday's matchup with the Giants.

Inactive again Drake is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Impact With J.K. Dobbins back in the mix again after making his season debut last weekend, Drake remains the odd man out in the team's Week 4 backfield, which will also include Justice Hill in a change-of-pace role and Mike Davis in reserve.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Drake is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Impact With J.K. Dobbins back in action Sunday after missing Baltimore's first two games, Drake is the odd man out in the team's Week 3 backfield, which will also include Mike Davis and Justice Hill.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Comes up small against former team Drake rushed six times for eight yards and was not targeted in the passing game during the Ravens' 42-38 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Impact The veteran was thought to be poised for an expanded role Sunday with J.K. Dobbins (knee) being held out for another week, but it never materialized in the wild loss. In fairness, Drake wasn't alone in being stymied by the Dolphins' defensive front, as Mike Davis gained just four yards on five totes himself. Dobbins was able to practice in full leading up to Sunday, so it appears likely the third-year back will suit up in Week 3 against the Patriots, which could relegate Drake to a minimal role or potentially even inactive status.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Expanded role in Week 2 With J.K. Dobbins (knee) inactive, Drake is in line to again see added work in the Ravens' backfield Sunday against the Dolphins, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Impact With Dobbins sidelined in the Ravens' 24-9 win over the Jets last weekend, Drake, who Hensley indicates will start Sunday, logged 33 snaps on offense en route to carrying 11 times for 31 yards and logging one catch for 15 yards, while Davis was out there for seven snaps (two carries for 11 yards) and Hill saw 11 snaps and rushed twice for four yards and caught two passes for seven yards. Drake thus figures to continue to see his share of touches against Miami, which makes him a Week 2 lineup option for those in deeper fantasy formats or in need of short-term RB help.

Likely to lead backfield again Drake is expected to serve as the Ravens' lead running back Sunday against the Dolphins with J.K. Dobbins (knee) listed as questionable but considered unlikely to play, Jamison Hen...
Impact Even though Dobbins was a full practice participant all week, the Ravens apparently want to see him log some more on-field reps before clearing him for game action. Assuming Dobbins is included among the Ravens' inactive list that will be released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Drake will be poised to headline the Baltimore backfield for the second straight week. Despite handily outpacing Justice Hill (11 snaps) and Mike Davis (six snaps) in terms of offensive usage (31 snaps) in his Ravens' debut last week against the Jets, Drake finished with just 11 carries for 31 yards and one 15-yard reception. His fantasy upside could be capped in a less favorable matchup this week against Miami.

AUGUST 22, 2022 • STAR-TELEGRAM.COM
In line to be released by Raiders The Raiders plan to release Drake, Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic report.
Impact Per the report, the move is slated to occur, barring an unlikely last-minute trade offer, but either way, the Raiders are moving on from Drake, who they signed to a a two-year, $11 million deal in March 2021. The running back suffered a season-ending ankle injury Week 13 last year, but he's moved past the issue and has played this preseason. Once he catches on with a new team, the 28-year-old will look to carve out an early-season role, but until that context is clarified Drake will profile as a speculative fantasy option.

Set to be let go by Raiders The Raiders are slated to release Drake, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact The fact that Drake received six touches (three carries and three catches) in the Raiders' third preseason game in Miami on Saturday -- when several key offensive players were rested -- was a firm indication the 28-year-old was on the roster bubble. The veteran back didn't make much of an impression across the Raiders' first three exhibitions and offers limited value on special teams, so the team's decision to cut him isn't overly surprising. Once he's granted his release, Drake will have a couple weeks to catch on elsewhere as a depth option before the regular season commences.
AUGUST 22, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Tallies 16 total yards in win Drake rushed three times for six yards and secured all three targets for 10 yards in the Raiders' 15-13 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Impact The veteran was the second running back in, but he didn't find much success against one of his old squads. Drake has seemingly been battling rookie Zamir White for the No. 2 running back job behind workhorse lead back Josh Jacobs, and while neither has gotten much done on the ground in the last two games, the younger and more explosive White showed more burst during an 11-carry, 52-yard performance in the Hall of Fame Game preseason opener versus the Jaguars. Consequently, Drake may need a true breakout effort during Friday night's exhibition finale versus the Patriots to win the competition.
