Austin Aune - Starting season on bench Aune will begin the season as a backup Saturday versus Northwestern State, Brett Vito of the Denton Record-Chronicle reports. Impact Aune completed 54.6 percent of his passes last year for 1,650 yards and a 13:4 TD:INT ratio while splitting time with Jason Bean. While Bean has transferred away from the Mean Green, the team also added Jace Ruder from North Carolina, who will get the starting nod, though that doesn't rule out the possibility that he will also see some time under center.
