Trey Kukuk - Beginning season as backup Kukuk will not begin the 2026 season as Louisiana Tech's starting quarterback, Matt Belinson of the Ruston Daily Leader reports.

Impact Kukuk had the chance to log first-team reps in the spring with Blake Baker still working back from a torn ACL, but Baker will ultimately be the QB1 for the Bulldogs. With that being said, Kukuk's chances at seeing the field this season aren't null. The 6-foot-1 senior will be ready to go, pending an injury or unsatisfactory play by Baker.
