Impact After putting together an incredible redshirt freshman season, leading the FBS in passing by a wide margin, Mestemaker will unsurprisingly look for a new program via the portal. He tossed for a whopping 4,129 yards, 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing over 70 percent of his passes. He also added five scores on the ground. With three years of eligibility remaining, Mestemaker should be highly sought after in the transfer portal.

Impact The senior wideout delivered one of his strongest performances of the season, emerging as a steady intermediate option while North Texas played from behind for much of the night. Impact The redshirt freshman quarterback showed flashes of command with nearly 300 yards and a pair of touchdown strikes, but the three interceptions proved costly and stalled multiple potential scoring drives. The 6-foot-3 signal-caller battled throughout, connecting on chunk plays and keeping the game within reach despite constant pressure. Overall, Mestemaker enjoyed a good campaign, completing 292 of 418 passes (69.9 percent) for 4,119 yards, 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions across 13 outings.
