Impact Stafford, a true freshman, is a cog in this offense. He's been targeted 30 times and has 20 catches, and he's gotten six carries as well. On the other hand, he has totaled 175 yards with zero touchdowns, so he's not yet a dynamic player.

Impact This is Flowers' first touchdown of the year. However, he had seven catches for 60 yards in WKU's opener before games against Georgia and Indiana. Maybe with the schedule easing up Flowers can get to being productive.

Impact After being held under 2.0 yards per carry by Georgia and Indiana, Allen did bounce back a bit here. He wasn't remarkable, though, and prior to this he had six catches for 13 yards, so this receiving score is a bit of a fluke.

Impact Hutchinson has missed a pair of games due to his injured knee, and the wide receiver's unavailability has given Western Kentucky one less big piece in the receiver corps. Impact Tisdale started the season slow, and seemed to lose the starting job to Brock Glenn. However, he got a chance to play against an FCS team here, and he certainly took advantage. That being said, Glenn also played, and Glenn totaled three touchdowns, so don't be so sure that Tisdale is back atop the WKU depth chart.

Impact Ezirim transferred in from Toledo, and he won the starting tight end job. However, he also has four catches for 65 yards through three games with the Hilltoppers.

Jonathan Stafford Jr. - Nine touches against Hoosiers Stafford had six catches for 27 yards and rushed three times for 14 yards against Indiana on Saturday.

Impact Stafford didn't do much against the defending champs, but the true freshman touched the ball nine times, and even though he is a receiver he got three carries. It would seem somebody likes getting him the ball, and that is encouraging with the rest of the schedule decidedly easier than the last two games.

Impact Allen impressed in his first outing with WKU, but his last two games have been rough. However, his last two games have been on the road against Georgia and Indiana. Expect things to go much better the rest of the way, especially against Mercyhurst in WKU's next game.

Brock Glenn - Gets start against IU Glenn went 17-for-32 for 120 yards and an interception against Indiana on Saturday. He ran 11 times for 30 yards as well and fumbled twice, but lost neither fumble.

Impact A road trip to Indiana was always going to be rough. What matters here is that Glenn, not Rodney Tisdale, got the start, and Tisdale did not attempt a pass. It would appear that the job is Glenn's for now.

K.D. Hutchinson - Off injury report vs. Indiana Hutchinson (knee) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's meeting with the Hoosiers.

Impact Hutchinson was questionable leading up to the matchup as he tended a knee injury that has held him out through the first games of the season but appears to have moved past it and will be available to play. The senior wide receiver will aim to make the most of his season debut.

Impact When Arends caught his touchdown, Georgia was leading 70-13. He didn't have a target in WKU's opener. This was solely a product of what a blowout this game was, but Arends will always be able to tell people he scored a touchdown against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Ajay Allen - Day to forget in Athens Allen ran 11 times for 19 yards against Georgia on Saturday.

Impact Don't worry too much about this. Allen was, after all, visiting the Bulldogs and facing an elite SEC defense. He did run for over 102 yards and two touchdowns against Nevada in WKU's opener, after all. Of course, in Week 3 Allen will have to visit Indiana, which won't be much easier.
